Message from Mark:
Hello parents,
I would highly recommend your youth comes to the Wed Club KNIGHTS program 6:30-8:30PM as we roll into our series on money. I have seen youth activated and dramatically change after they hear biblical principles on finances, investment, work, and success. I am forever grateful to parents who put the work ethic into 12 kids and launched us into financial independence from them because of practical experiences and teaching. Now is the time to instill biblical truth that will bear a rich harvest in their future. All parents are encouraged to join us as we grow in grace, truth, and love.

Men’s Ministry News – Bring your son to this month men’s breakfast.
SAT 4 MEN WITH METS MANAGER JERRY MANUEL, JAN 16th 7:30 – 9:45 AM
Bring your Sons!
Great Breakfast, Exciting Speaker, live music, and fellowship with Bayside Men. The best way to spend a Saturday Morning! Jerry Manuel is the kind of guy who has “humble” written all over him–he doesn’t particularly care for the spotlight; he doesn’t see himself as a celebrity; and he would rather talk about practically anything other than himself. That’s why he seemed a bit uncomfortable when he became the American League Manager of the Year after turning the Chicago White Sox around and guiding the team to the playoffs in 2000.
In 2007 Jerry Manuel became Manager of the New York Mets. He has declared a contingency plan for his next career position. If his current contract is not renewed, he will lead the Baseball program at William Jessup University in Rocklin. Jerry and his family are Sacramento natives. He is a member of Capitol Christian Church, National Speaker for Fellowship of Christian Athletes and the holder of various professional baseball awards as a player. Jerry will describe how Christ lives in his life while in the public eye with its daily highs and lows of professional sports.
This is an event you will not want to miss. Bring you sons with you at this event. No age limit.
$10 in advance, $5 for students16 to 21 years and table of 8 for only $70. $15 at the door. Register on line at http://www.baysideonline.com/news-and-events/
Winter Jam- LIVE TO GIVE IN 2010 Retreat: Jan 22-24 Reduced Price!
Last chance to sign up for the WINTER BLAST! This is a wonderful opportunity for your youth to connect with their friends from Bayside and grow in understanding what their God given talents and gifts are. More importantly we will have the time in small groups to think of ways to use their gifts and maximize the time we have on earth.
The price is right at bare bones $85 per person and all youth and 4th graders are encouraged to bring friends from school!!
Parents come and help these youth become the leaders God wants them to be. We need YOU!! No regrets!

Live to give in 2010 WINTER RETREAT – JAN 22-24 Nevada City
The price has reduced to $85 each. Because of low attendance we canceled the bus to lower the cost. No Scholarships are available; however see Debbie about a payment plan if needed.
If you have already registered we will automatically send you the difference. If you would like to donate the difference instead – please contact Debbie and thank you!
This is a great event for all youth to be on board so they can identify their spiritual gifts and use them NOW for Gods work. My regret in life was that I was never taught my gifts and they were discovered long after the age of 8 when I received Christ. Parents are encouraged to join, run small groups, help with recreation, and have fun connecting with youth and parents.

Word Warriors:
One of our goals in Club 56 is to have Word Warriors who have read through the Bible by the time they graduate.
We are once again doing the 90 Challenge which is for all youth to read 3 chapters per day for 90 days and gain an overview of the New Testament. You may even consider doing this as a family. The 90 day challenge chart is available in Club 56 room. Those who choose to accept the challenge will celebrate with others with a fun event. Start today! No Regrets!!
Food for our Saturday Night Volunteers
Each Saturday night we set up at 3:30 or earlier for the Saturday night services and clean up around 8:15PM. It’s really hard to get in a meal between services so we like to have something to eat available for all the workers. If you have the talent and heart to make (or buy) a small meal for about 10 people, please let me know. This could be a one time help or ask to be put on a schedule.
Does not have to be “homemade”
Thank you!
