Teach a child to read and change a life! Many of us know how important literacy is to a young person’s future, yet the statistics on reading are dire. In California, 88% of fourth graders from low-income communities are reading below grade level. This puts these kids on the fast track to economic hardships, dropping out or ending up in prison. YOU CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE!
Our first two information nights with the organization “Reading Partners” was a huge success! More than 300 people attended and there are another 400 eager to get involved.
