Getting to Know your New Testament!
In late August, Bayside launched a new 28-week series titled “The New Testament: Unleashing God’s Word One Book at A Time.” This study has been designed to provide individuals with a detailed overview of each book in the New Testament, as well as key theological themes and life applications. It’s a fast paced in-depth look at the authors, history, key themes, key verses and so much more found within each book of the New Testament. This approach is quite similar to what one might find in a university setting for a survey of the New Testament class.
We hope that you’ve been able to join us these past weeks as we’ve begun to dig deeper into God’s Word. But if you haven’t been able to join us, don’t worry; we have podcasts, videos, and notes to catch you up. Check out these great features on the media page, and begin to “unleash God’s Word one book at a time.” Also, to help you get started, make sure that you check out our New Testament Survey Kick Off video below.

is there a certain way that you are to read the bible for answeres to everyday problems. the way i read it seem to only deal with eternal issues? eric v
Hi Eric. Thank you for the great question. Growing up I had a little book which organized Bible versus and stories according to everyday life topics. I found this book incredibly helpful when looking for some hope or truth during challenging times. There is a website available that does something pretty similar located at OpenBible.info http://www.openbible.info/topics/
Using that site you can do a search for the word Money or Kids or Marriage or whatever topic your interested in.
There are also Life Application Bibles which do a great job of taking books, stories and verses and explaining how they relate to every day life. Do a search on Amazon.com for life application study bible.

When will Jim Cavieiel’s video be up from this weekend?
So, for people like me who haven’t been to the previous New Testament series, how is it different than a regular service?
Javier,
Great question. The New Testament Series is our current weekend series. Rather than focusing on a topic, each week we’re digging into a book in the New Testament. Feel free to check out previous messages in the media section (http://www.baysideonline.com/category/video/weekend-service-videos/). Hope to see you there!
How does the New Testament series differ from regular services?
Francisco,
Great question. As I mentioned above to Javier, The New Testament Series is our series for weekend services. We’re emphasizing one book in the New Testament per week rather than being topic-focused at this time. Previous messages can be found in the media section http://www.baysideonline.com/category/video/weekend-service-videos/ Enjoy!
