We’re Listening
The web team here at Bayside Church is excited to announce a new way for us as a church to communicate with each other. You may have noticed the new “feedback” tab on the far left hand side of every BaysideOnline.com page. Clicking this tab will allow anyone to submit feedback in the form of an Idea, Question, Problem or Praise.
The Me Too Buttons
There are two things that are really exciting about this new feature. First, it lets Baysiders rate ideas, questions and problems by clicking buttons that read “Me too”. The “Me too” buttons allows for us to quickly identify how our community generally feels about each submission.
Become a BaysideOnline Champion
Second, the new feedback system allows us to identify people in our online community who actively contribute, help out or generally care for our digital flock. These people can become Bayside Online Champions and will receive a badge or profile marker to let everyone else know that they are an active member of Bayside’s online community.
Haven’t we always been able to do this with comments?
The commenting system is still in use, in fact you can and should comment on this post to let us know what you think of the new feedback system. Comments are generally related to a specific post or news item where as this new feedback system is more of a global community communication tool. If you have a question or comment about a specific news item or event you should post it as a comment on that item’s page. If you wanna talk about Bayside in general, use the new feedback tab on the left.
How do I get started?
Click the feedback tab on the left. After submitting feedback you can login with your existing Facebook, Twitter, Google, Windows Live, Open ID or GetSatisfaction account.

I do work here in Sacramento Area from time to time. I have been to your church several times. I am not part of a small group, so I feel disconnected. After church I have failed to get to know anyone here. To bad you do not have a greetings booth for new comers or visiters. I feel so uncomfortable just going up to someone.
Hi Michael,
First, thanks for commenting.
Second, I apologize that it has been difficult for you to connect. Please know we are very concerned about making it as easy as possible for people to connect and will keep working hard at this.
Just to let you know as you enter the main lobby there is a “visitor information” area and a number of Kiosks that are all available to help get people connected. Have you had a chance to check those out?
Bayside,
Thank you for being open to our feedback and suggestions. This new feedback area is an excellent idea by Bayside. Communication is essential to the health of our congregation.

I just want to say that I absolutely love Jeff and Shannon Scott’s music. I feel so blessed that their talent has come to wash over me. The Little Drummer Boy Song could not be done better if Simon & Garfunkel attempted it. It brings tears to my eyes every time I hear it. It’s very moving for me. I truly sing your praises and hope all good things come to you. I am going to send an email to The Fish radio station and KLove too, in hopes they will give you two the air time you deserve.
I want to make a suggestion. I think it would be helpful to have an alter call. I know it’s a large church but maybe, at least at the 11:30 AM service when there are no more services, we could target people who really need prayer and have them go up for an alter call. There are a lot of people hurting and need someone to place hands on them and pray for them. It’s not easy to ask but our responsibility to offer.
I agree with you on this…this is badly needed.
I love attending Bayside and would love if Ray and his wife would consider standing at the doors after the church service and just shaking hands. We came from a large church in the south and we loved having that chance on Sunday just to encourage our pastor and his wife. It also helped such a large church seem a little more personal. Our family thanks God for such a light shing in our community as this church. Thank you to everyone that makes this church such an awesome light to the world.
I love Lincoln Brewsters music but it was wonderful to hear Amazing Grace on Sunday. I would really like to hear one traditional gospel song every once in a while.
I couldn’t wait to get the Bible CD’s on Sunday. Will you have them at the next service?
Will you be required to have tickets this year for the Christmas Services?
It was definitely wonderful to see and hear the kids sing tonight.Great job Brandy.
Will the guest speaker this coming weekend 12/18 & 19 & 20 be continuing II Theolossians (sp?)?
Sunday evening services?
Would Bayside consider adding one or two services on Sunday evenings? The Saturday evening services have been a great success. But sometimes we can’t attend on Saturdays, and the Sunday morning services are way too crowded.
If Sunday evening services are available, some of the morning folks can shift their attendance to the evening, and help alleviate the over-crowded conditions in the morning services. Thank you!

I have been attending Bayside for a couple years ~ this was my 3rd Christmas Service. I went to the 1st service on Friday night and I have to say, I was a little disappointed with the music. Most notably, the volume of the music. I am a huge fan of Lincoln Brewster and the rest of the worship team, but the Christmas service music was so loud I couldn’t hear myself sing. It was distorted and disturbingly loud for my whole family. They were disappointed and they were guests of our church. The worship doesn’t become better because it’s louder. The rest of the service was very nice.
I loved the Christmas eve service. What an amazingly modern way to praise Jesus. No question He was smiling along with the rest of us.
Thanks to everyone for the comments, suggestions and words of encouragement.
I apologize for any confusion but the feedback area we are asking you to use for submitting suggestions or requests can be found using the gray feedback button located along the left side of every BaysideOnline webpage.
We have responded personally to most of the comments above and will continue to do so, however, if you are able, please use the feedback button to the left.
Thanks again for you input and your desire to make Bayside the best Church it can be.
Hi, Aaron,
As a follow-up to your post of 12/21, would you please explain what this “comment” area be used for? I see the feedback tab and understand you want us to use that for “Feedback” but I’m not clear when/if we should use this comment area.
Great question LE. This comment area would be used for questions about how the feedback tab works, where its located and so on. Basically anything related to the feedback system.
With that said, it’s ok if people leave general/unrelated feedback here. The reason we are asking people to use the feedback tab for general (things that don’t related to a specific news/event item) questions/feedback/praise is that it has a number of added benefits for our church.
First, it lets everyone “vote up” an idea. This allows us to track the most popular concerns or suggestions.
Second it allows us categorize where a particular piece of feedback falls.
Lastly, it forces a layer of transparency on our part.
Thanks again for the great question. If you have any other questions about the feedback system please let me know.
Merry Christmas. Ray, I want to thank you and the entire Bayside Church for the best Christmas present ever; Last night at the candle light service, my wife and son both accepted Christ into their hearts as their savior. They had been struggling with their thoughts for many years and the veil of uncertainty and doubt has been forever lifted from their minds and heart. We did not want to leave. We have been struggling financially and will be losing our home soon, but that doesn’t seam to matter much to us now. I am truly content with the fact that my entire immediate family is safe in the arms of the Lord. Nothing can harm us now. I ask that you pray for our family to always trust in the Lords way. Thank you from the very bottom of my heart. We are so thankful. God bless all of you.

My husband and I registered for the 2009 Thrive Conference at the 2008 Thrive Conference, but neglected to write the dates down. When is the 2009 Thrive Conference?
Hey Cheryl,
Check out the brand new Thrive Conference site at http://www.thrive2010.com
(the dates are April 29th – May 1st)
Thanks-oops, I meant 2010!!!
What does this mean when you have posted a suggestion and it states: “The company has this in progress.” Does that mean the church is implementing this or ??
It typically means we are praying about, discussing, researching or otherwise looking at the possibility of implementation. Does not mean that it will be implemented.
Thanks. I would be willing to be involved in implementing the “Quiet Reflection nights” (see suggestion feedback submitted by me) if it gets to that point. I can also provide insight in to how I saw something similiar done at another church we attended in Oregon.
I love Bayside and have been going for years!!!! I recently moved to Orange County and I cant find a good church like Bayside. Can you help point me in the right direction of a great church in Orange County?
