If so, we created HomePort just for you… a place to LAND, LIVE and LEARN.

HomePorts are gatherings for couples in your lifestage. We get together every week for about 75 minutes. We gather around tables, play games, eat together, process what we’re learning and get to know each other. We learn about God’s design for life, marriage and family. It’s sort of a LARGE small group!

Is there Children’s Ministry?
Yes, and it’s FREE!

We fit in more than one lifestage. How do we know which homePort to go to?
Pick one that suits your schedule or your lifestage….and try it out. If it doesn’t fit, try another one.

Is the teaching always on marriage?
No, but we always try to pay attention to how different topical or Biblical studies might help our marriages grow stronger. Our goal is to grow to love God…and each other…more deeply.

We are new to Bayside. What if we don’t know much about God or the Bible?
You will be welcome….and meet others asking the same kind of questions.

If we come on the weekend, can we keep our kids in Children’s Ministry for the service and a homePort? Absolutely, and we provide special kids programming during homePort that’s unique – it’s not just a repeat of their regular class. We’re finding the homeports “Pals” are enjoying each other as much as their parents.

Do we choose between homePort and a small group? You’re welcome to do both. We have already seen a couple of small groups formed out of homePorts, but so far they keep coming to homePort too!

Who does the teaching?
Each homePort has its own Married Life Pastor as well as several teaching couples. We also bring in guest teachers for specific topics from time to time. Every homePort also involves conversation around the tables so you can learn from other couples well.

Do homePort couples do other things together?
Yes. We have Marriage retreats, camping trips, potlucks, service projects, dance lessons, movie nights and golf tournaments coming up.

Do I have to register… and come regularly?
No, just check out whichever homePort works for you. Come when you can, miss when you have to.
