Women’s Ministries

As women – single, married, with kids, without kids – we have specific needs. These ministries have been provided with you in mind! We want to help you connect with other women, while assisting you with everyday realities like health, homeschooling and praying with your kids.

Join us for fun, fitness and fellowship through Cardio and Strength Training classes set to Contemporary Christian music. Body & Soul is a Nationwide Christian Ministry founded in 1981 providing both physical and spiritual benefits to participants. Each class is a complete workout with high and low cardio aerobics.

The Homeschool Network provides an opportunity to connect, support and encouragement for homeschooling moms. While our main focus is building relationships among the moms, we also offer enrichment activities for school-aged children. A homeschool program is also offered for children K-8 during the Women’s Thursday morning Bible Study for attending moms. For questions, contact Lori at clarksinlove@yahoo.com

In many third world countries, a little girl with torn or tattered clothes becomes a prime target for abuse. Her torn clothing says, “No one cares. No one is watching out for me. I’m not valued.” These little pillowcase dresses are changing that message! Even the label “Hope4Women, Int’l” on the outside of the dress sends the message that an organization is watching out for her! Supplying new pillowcase dresses to girls in developing countries is a tangible way to show these children that they’re truly cared for and loved.

The Grove provides an opportunity to go deeper in your faith and develop lasting friendships while having the time of your life. “Imagine a world where every little girl owns at least ONE dress!”

DRESS A GIRL AROUND THE WORLD started in October 2009 and since that time, across the country, women have made over 63,000 pillowcase dresses and they have been distributed to 54 countries … mainly through people taking them in their suitcases to missionaries, orphanages, mission trips and to help protect little girls.

From our area alone, we have made and distributed over 2900 dresses since last February. They have been sent to Cambodia, Columbia, India, Kenya, Indonesia, Philippines, Virginia, Bangladesh, Virginia, Tanzania, and Haiti.

We depend on DONATIONS of the following:
*PILLOWCASES (NEW or GENTLY USED … if used, please have freshly laundered, no stains, no “pilly’s” and preferably not white)
*EXTRA WIDE DOUBLE FOLD Bias Tape (2 packages of same color will make 2 dresses)
*We have access to purchasing it by the bolt, so your money will go further if you prefer to donate financially. $10 will purchase a bolt that will make 25 dresses
*Packages of ELASTIC (1/4” or ½ “) We also have access of elastic by the bolt … so financial donations will get us more.
*Packages of PANTIES (sizes 2-12) We put a pair in every pocket!
