The Boardwalk is privileged to come alongside parents and partner in the growth of your children in the areas of faith, character and understanding God. The message is simple. We want your little ones to know that God loves them, God made them and Jesus wants to be their friend. We’re honored to be a part of your little ones “first look” at God. Our curriculum “My First Look” uses engaging activities and interactive Bible stories to introduce preschoolers to God. All volunteers and staff working with children are interviewed, trained and fingerprinted.
During all weekend services[in the Children's Building (Building C)]:
Saturdays 4:15 & 6:00pm
Sundays 8:15, 9:45, 11:30am & 7:00pm
Check-In begins 20 minutes before each service and ends 20 minutes after the service starts. The process is fast and easy! Your first time? Don’t worry, just go to the “New Family” sign and we’ll walk you through it.
In addition to providing ministry for your kids, we have a couple of places where parents and kids can enjoy the service together.
- Nurturing room for nursing moms. Located on the first floor in the C-building.
- Family room for families. Located upstairs in the Worship Center.
Teen Harbor, a special place for special teens (ages 12-20), meets every Saturday at 6:00 in room B-222.
Our Infant classrooms for children 8 weeks through 24 months are among the most unique places in the church. Between changing diapers, rocking, snacking and playing, there are small windows of opportunity to teach these little ones about the love of God. Our goal is simple. We want each child to feel loved and cared for while their parents enjoy the worship service.
Two to five year olds are inquisitive, that’s for sure! They often learn best by using their five senses, and so we give them time to build with blocks, create with play dough, play with an assortment of toys, and of course, discover art in some new and creative ways! Worship and Bible stories help them understand how and why we praise God, while Bible memorization helps them take the message with them wherever they go!
This curriculum is available for The Boardwalk volunteers to view. Also, we’ve provided some resources to help parents continue the weekend’s lessons at home. Check out these weekly devotionals for kids and parents to do together.
You have been entrusted with the precious gift of new life, and we look forward to partnering with you as you embark on this parenting journey. Baby Dedication Celebration is a commitment service for parents to dedicate themselves to raise their child in the ways of the Lord. It is a promise parents make to their child as they lay a foundation, by example and teaching, for future faith in Christ. Baby Dedication is not baptism. It is our belief that each person must make a personal decision to accept Christ as his or her Savior. When a child comes to the knowledge of their sin and their responsibility for that sin, they are ready to ask Jesus Christ into their lives.
As your church family, we want to be your biggest fan and trusted guide. We look forward to celebrating this special day with you.
