We’ve all had moments of need. But we’ve also had moments where someone showed up for us. This is someone who came through for you, loved you, believed in you. Someone just simply showing up can make all the difference. This game-changer can be infectious. It can start a movement.

Let’s be a people who spread hope simply by loving our neighbors as God loves us: generously, and freely.

What if we were mere moments away from changing someone else’s life? What if it was as simple as showing up?

Serve Day is our chance to come together and make a difference. Serve Day is an opportunity to be good neighbors not just to each other but to our community, city, region, our world.

All you have to do is show up.

celebration

After our entire church spends the weekend serving local communities, we'll celebrate with an all-campus worship service at Golden 1 Center!

We'll have festivities for the whole family, share all the great moments from Serve Day, and hear an encouraging message from Pastor Ray Johnson.  Not to mention, we'll be joined by Thrive Worship, Lincoln Brewster, and America's Got Talent violinist Brian King Joseph!

We can't wait to unite, love our neighbors, then worship together in the heart of our city.

faq

When is SERVE Day?
September 27-28

Why Are We Doing This?
Simple and practical acts of kindness can open hearts to the love of Jesus for both those being served and those serving. We want every person to find the right opportunities to effectively use their gifts to love and serve our communities. Join us for Serve Day 2019 and experience how YOU can make a difference!

How Do I Sign Up?
You’ll be able to sign up online and at all Bayside campuses during weekend services, starting on August 24 - 25.

I’ve Never Done This Before – Where Do I Start?
We have a project for everyone! Most of our projects do not require any particular skill – just a willing heart and a pair of hands. You’ll be able to sign up individually or as a Team with your Small Group or Family.

What About the Kids?
Look for a “Family Friendly” project where your kids can work alongside you. Kids can make a great addition to the serving team, provided the projects match their maturity and skills. You’ll know best what project will be a good fit for your family. If you're serving with your Small Group, you may decide to designate someone to stay with very young children, so everyone else can be free to serve.

What Should I Bring?
Bring any personal items you may need during your project: Sunscreen, drinking water, sneakers, a hat, etc. Your Project Manager can confirm any project-specific items you may need to bring: gloves, rakes, lawnmowers, tarps, work tools, etc. Work clothes are a good idea for serve opportunities requiring physical labor, and we recommend not wearing jewelry.

Where Will the Projects be Located?
We have projects in Auburn, Davis, Elk Grove, Lincoln, Roseville, Rocklin, Sacramento, and Santa Rosa.

Where Can I Get a Cool SERVE Day t-shirt?
T-shirts will be available for a purchase of $8 on all campuses, starting August 24 - 25. SERVE Day shirts are not a requirement to serve at a project. And YES, you can wear your vintage t-shirt from a previous year!
