Mexico Outreach

MEXICO OUTREACH IS HAPPENING
MARCH 22-29, 2024!

Please pray for us as we go and unleash compassion in Mexico!

What is Mexico Outreach?

One church unleashing compassion, serving, and growing in our faith and knowledge of God, our love for Him, and our love for one another.

WHERE YOU CAN SERVE

Impact

High School & Adult
Bayside’s Breakaway Kids Camp goes to Mexico! This team partners with the local churches in Mexico to minister to the kids in the community sharing the Gospel message. Key components to impact teams are games, Bible stories, arts and crafts, worship and giving lots of piggyback rides.

Construction

High School & Adult
Our construction teams build homes for families in need that are connected to the churches and communities where we work. These teams spend the entire week constructing a 2-bedroom home in one week. Construction leads need students who are focused, committed and not afraid of hard work.

Festival

High School & Adult
This traveling team brings some extra fun to our Impact Teams. Throughout the week, festival teams bring a mini carnival to the churches with bounce houses, face painting, balloon animals.

Community Service

Adult
These teams are the definition of flexible! They will serve throughout the community. Projects range from painting, homeless ministry, park clean-ups and more depending on the needs of the communities. This team requires a “can-do” attitude! and games.

Interpreter

Adult
The interpreter role is a very important duty on this trip. Interpreters will be translating conversations between the adult leaders, students, children and pastors. In a way, the interpreter can be seen as a leadership role with the interpreter and the adult leader working together to keep the communication flowing.

Interpreter Info

Hospitality

Adult
Help us take care of our own people at camp! The Hospitality Team creates a fun environment at base camp for all participants including running our camp store, adult leader areas and more.

Food

Adult
Everybody’s gotta eat and at “Camp Bayside” we eat well! This team has a blast feeding the masses and fueling the ministry.

Security

Adult (25+)
We depend on our Security Team to keep the camp safe, assist in camp logistics, and make sure all of us are having a blast!

First Aid

Adult
Doctors, nurses and other health care professionals serve our camp keeping us healthy and assisting in any first aid needs.

Spartans

High School & Adult
This team is for those who are willing to go above and beyond. Spartans arrive at camp to an empty field and are responsible for setting up tents, preparing basecamp and having a fully functional facility ready for the main group. Note: All Spartans are also part of regular ministry teams and will serve with those teams throughout the week of the trip.

Home Team

High School & Adult
Not able to go with us, but want to serve? A parent of a student and want to support the trip? We have a big need for volunteers to help before, during and after the trip. Office help, assisting us in fundraising events, registration team, logistics, transportation, weekend promotion and more… there’s ALWAYS a need! F.A.Q.

During Easter week Bayside students and adults come together to serve as God’s hands and feet in Mexicali, Mexico. Mexico Outreach started in 1996 with just a small group of 26 students and has grown to over 1000+ because of the positive and lasting impact on the Mexican community and on the Americans that go. The large group divides into smaller teams that serve all over the Mexicali valley supporting and encouraging the churches and organizations we partner with. The week is packed with amazing sermons, a close community, piggy back rides, servant hearts, fantastic food, and powerful experiences

The Mexico Trip is transformational! Student and adult participants experience God in a new place, have opportunities to serve, develop lasting friendships, make life-long memories and God moves in their lives and the lives of those they serve. If students or adults are wanting deeper connection with others at the church, this trip guarantees new friendships and an authentic community experience. The need is great, and we believe God wants to use you to impact the world!

Fundraising is a big part of our Mexico missions trip. This trip is designed for other people to support you after the initial deposit of $149. We provide many resources to help you with your fundraising. We hope that we can equip you with the tools needed for this to not be a huge financial expense.

For those who have attempted to fundraise and are struggling, talk to a student pastor about whether scholarships are available.
